Perpignan!

perpignan is known for an international photojournalist film festival that is held here every year.  i went with my buddy louis, who grew up in perpignan and just recently moved back there from paris (at the same time as me – a nice quinkydink!)

exhibitions are set up all over the city and we only went to two of them (one of them was huge!!).  some of the images are so powerful, about difficult subjects like war in afghanistan, the demonstrations in egypt, child brides in afghanistan, etc etc, that it’s hard to take it all in.  nevertheless, it was fascinating and re-inspired me to do more photography.

actually, the real highlight of the day was when louis and i had agua limone, a refreshing drink that is served only during the summer.  we had the agua limone panache (there should be an accent over the e) which is lemonade with ice cream – YUM!!

here’s a photo of me enjoying my little treat.  i have my “hurry up and take the picture, already” face, but it really was a happy moment! 🙂  i wanted to take a photo of louis but he’s even more camera shy than i am!!  i hope this photo shows up in the right place!

Lynne, this is so GREAT! You look so happy, relaxed, and YOUNG. I wish there were English “subtitles” to your French comments & replies. Even written French has a beauty to it… Please keep taking lots of pictures of your adventures. We’re so happy you’re following your dreams. It’s inspiring. Love,
    Sue
